SAN JOSÉ - ARENAL VOLCANO – TABACON HOT SPRINGS – TORTUGERO – MANUEL ANTONIO
Day 1, Arrive at Costa Rica
Upon your arrival guests will be met by their driver who will transfer them to their hotel.
Overnight San José, 1N
Day 2, Arenal Volcano and Tabacon Hot Springs (B, L, D)
After breakfast guests will be transferred for 3,5 hours to the most active and impressive of the volcanoes in Costa Rica. Since a big eruption in the year 1968 the volcano has been erupting daily at different levels of activity. This is one of the greatest spectacles of a visit to Costa Rica. In the evening guests will visit Tabacon Hot Springs where they can enjoy the beauty and soothing feeling of Tabacon´s mineral hot springs, waterfalls, twelve mineral pools and indoor Jacuzzi. Guests will have dinner at the resort before transferring back to San José. Overnight San José, 1N.
Day 3, Transfer to Tortugero (B, L, D)
After breakfast guests will be transferred to Mawamba Lodge. Guests will go through spectacular rain forest of Braulio Carrillo National Park and a 2 hour boat transfer on the canals will take them to the lodge in the lush tropical jungle of Tortugero National Park. Here guests will enjoy their lunch and a free afternoon to experience the local culture and habitat, visit some of the wonderful natural attractions, walk the nature trails or just relax in a luxurious hammock. Day 4, Tortugero (B, L, D)
Departure by boat to Tortugero National Park where guests will enjoy a hiking trip along the trails. Guests will be back at the lodge for lunch. In the afternoon they will enjoy a canal boat tour.
Day 5, Transfer to Manuel Antonio (B, L)
After breakfast guests will be transferred by boat to Caño Blanco where they will be met by their driver who will transfer them to the National Park Manuel Antonio. On the way they will stop for lunch. Punta Cathedral, the bay of Puerto Escondido and the beautiful beaches with blue green water represent some of the main attractions of this park. Overnight Manuel Antonio, 2N
Day 6, Manuel Antonio (B)
Free day to enjoy the hotel facilities or take optional tours.
Day 7, Transfer to San José (B)
Free morning. In the afternoon transfer back to San José. Overnight San José, 1N.
Day 8, Transfer out (B)
Guests will be transferred to the International Airport for their flight out of the country.
