Enjoy the Tortuguero Canals, Monteverde Cloud Forest, Arenal Volcano and select one of the listed beach extensions, each of which include two nights in some of Costa Rica’s most remarkable properties on the Pacific side. Quality and value are what "Costa Rica Highlights” stands for. At the end of the extension, the program also includes one last night in San Jose. The different beach extensions include hotels in beautiful Guanacaste, Jaco area (including the deluxe Marriott Los Sueños) and Manuel Antonio National Park area. Day 1: SAN JOSE, COSTA RICA
Arrival at Juan Santamaria International Airport. A Swiss Travel Service representative will meet and greet you upon arrival and will transfer you to Country Inn & Suites Hotel. Check-in and overnight.
Day 2: (B,L,D) SAN JOSE - TORTUGUERO NATIONAL PARK
Check out and departure from your hotel on a ground transfer looking for the dock (Siquirres or Matina area, aprox. 3 ½ hour drive) to start your journey to Tortuguero National Park. A two-hour boat ride will take you through natural and man-made canals sheltered by the rainforest’s thick vegetation. From your boat you will be able to admire the unique flora and fauna of this area. Check-in and overnight in Laguna Lodge. In the afternoon you will the opportunity to explore the tiny Caribbean village of Tortuguero.
Day 3: (B,L,D) TORTUGUERO AREA
Today you will explore the smaller canals and get closer to nature.
From July through September you can take the optional turtle-watching tour during the evening to admire one of the most impressive miracles of life when the massive sea turtles arrive en masse to lay their eggs on the beach. Overnight in Laguna Lodge.
Day 4: (B,L) TORTUGUERO – ARENAL VOLCANO
After breakfast you will be transferred by boat back to the dock (in the Siquirres or Matina area) in order to take ground transportation. After lunch at a local restaurant along the way, you will be transferred to the Arenal Volcano area. Check-in and overnight at Arenal Paraiso Hotel.
Day 5: (B,D) ARENAL VOLCANO AREA
Morning at leisure. You can enjoy optional activities such as biking, horseback riding, exploring the Venado Caves and much more.
In the afternoon we have included a visit to the area surrounding Arenal Volcano and also a visit to the Tabacon Hot Springs Resort, with dinner included. Overnight at Arenal Paraiso Hotel.
Day 6: (B) ARENAL VOLCANO - MONTEVERDE
Check-out and unescorted transfer (shuttle service) to Monteverde area. Check-in and overnight in Fonda Vela Hotel.
Day 7: (B) MONTEVERDE AREA
Day at leisure to take optional tours such us: horseback riding, Monteverde Cloud Forest Reserve nature walk and tour, Santa Elena Cloud Forest, Sky Walk, Sky Trek and others. Overnight in Fonda Vela Hotel.
Day 8: (B) MONTEVERDE - SELECTED EXTENSION
Continue on to any of the extensions available for a few days at the beach hotel of your selection, OR return to San Jose for an overnight extension in order to take your flight back home (Extensions are NOT included in the package base price).

• Unescorted transfer from Guapiles (after Tortuguero package) to Arenal Paraiso Hotel in Arenal Volcano area.
• Two (2) nights in superior room at Arenal Paraiso Hotel with breakfast included.
• Regular half-day (afternoon) Arenal Volcano and Tabacon Hot Springs tour. Includes: transportation, guide, entrance fee and dinner at Tabacon Hot Springs Resort.
• Unescorted transfer (shuttle bus) from Arenal Paraiso Hotel to Fonda Vela Hotel.
• Two (2) nights in standard room at Fonda Vela Hotel (breakfast included).
• Meals as indicated: B = Breakfast, L = Lunch, D = Dinner.
