 Tours conducted daily.  Adventure To Izalco’s Volcano And White Water Rafting In Paz River Includes 1 night accommodation at the Alicante hotel in Apaneca, first day scroll in Cerro Verde National Park and climbing the Izalco Volcano; second day rafting in Rio Paz (Paz River); meals, transfer San Salvador – Cerro Verde National Park – Apaneca – Rio Paz (Paz River) – San Salvador, guide, rafts with complete gear and taxes. DAY 1 Departure from San Salvador at 7:00 AM to the Cerro Verde Volcano National Park (65 kms west of San Salvador). We are beginning this adventure with a stroll of 45 minutes surrounding the park. After this we will start our hike by taking a trail to the Izalco Volcano from where we will go up the hill towards the Izalco’s crater. The fun will continue for us on the way back, when we take an ash down slide to a dense foggy jungle. Following this day of action packed fun we will go to the region of Apaneca Mountains. Overnight stay in the area surrounded by these impressive mountains. Includes lunch and dinner for this day. Hiking time: 5 hours; hiking level: intermediate. DAY 2 Departure from Apaneca to Rio Paz (Paz River) at 7.30 AM. In this trip we will pass through a section of the river called Las Urracas, for the large population of these birds in this place. This is a virgin area, of great beauty and clear waters. This section’s rapids are intense and with much adrenaline, but of low risk (level 2-3). During the trip we will hike by waterfalls, water jumps and river ponds. Include breakfast and lunch. Return to San Salvador will be in late afternoon. |
