The Islands
Baltra and San Cristobal (Chatham) - capital of the islands. When flying in, these two islands are your ship's starting and ending points.
Santa Fe (Barrington) - the endemic land iguana and rice rat, sea lion, Galapagos Hawk, giant Opuntia cactus, lava formations. Swimming and snorkeling opportunities.
Bartolome (Sullivan) - rare Galapagos penguins, sea lions and turtles, a mangrove region, Pinnacle Rock. Swimming and snorkeling opportunities.
Floreana (Charles) - pink flamingos, turtles, rays, volcanic cones, rich plant varieties. Excellent reef snorkeling.
Espanola (Hood) - the waved albatross, mocking birds, red and green marine iguanas, blue-footed boobies, Darwin's finches, sea lions and the "blow hole."
Isabela (Albemarle) - largest in the archipelago. Penguins, cormorants, boobies, Audubon shearwater, salt lake crater, Tagus Cove.
Santiago (James) - colonies of fur seals, flycatchers, oystercatchers, yellow warbles, lava herons, finches, a seal and sea lion grotto.
North Seymour - sea lions, frigate birds, blue-footed boobies, swallow-tailed doves.
Plaza - tiny island populated by sea lions, iguanas, red-billed tropic birds, large plant variety.
Genovesa (Tower) - a paradise for bird-watchers. Sea cliffs, frigate birds, swallow-tailed gulls, red-footed boobies, noddy terns, tropic birds, storm petrels, Palo Santo trees.
Santa Cruz (Indefatigable) - Puerto Ayora, Charles Darwin Research Station. Giant tortoises, flamingos, pintail ducks, assorted vegetation, pit craters, lava tunnels.
Fernandina (Narborough) - marine iguanas, sea lions, cormorants, Galapagos hawk, Punta Espinoza, recent lava flows.
Rabiva (Jervis) - sea lions, flamingos, mockingbirds, doves, penguins.
